Rotary in India started from this district in 1920 with the formation of Rotary Club of Calcutta. At present, District 3291 comprises of 130 Rotary Clubs with around 4000 Rotarians in 11 revenue districts of West Bengal and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. We are in R.I. Zone 6A (with 7 Rotary Districts). All the three Rotary International Presidents from India had their roots within our District.
